Meet its Co-Creators:

  • Co-Creator, ShowMe Theatricals

    Melissa Bohon-Webel is a performer, director, commercial actress, and choreographer from Columbia, Missouri. Melissa received her BFA in Musical Theatre at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and headed right to New York City where she had a career as a professional performer. Broadway: u/s Chava in Fiddler On the Roof with Alfred Molina followed by Harvey Fierstien and Rosie O’Donnell. National Tours: Glinda in the First National tour of Wicked. Favorite Regional Credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Narrator), Annie (Mrs. Pugh), Ragtime (Evelyn Nesbit), Maria in Sounds of Music (Maria), Oklahoma! (Ado Annie), Hello Dolly! (Minnie Fay) and Urinetown (Little Sally). As a director, Melissa worked all across mid-Missouri including with Columbia College and Maples Repertory Theater. Favorite directorial credits include directing The Miracle Worker, Assassins, The Secret Garden, Oliver, Into the Woods, And a Guitar, Home for the Holidays, and A Grand Night for Singing. As a commercial actress, Melissa has created state-wide and national commercials for Columbia College, Feliway, Mercy Hospital, Nebraska Lottery, Absolut Vodka, Eggo and more. She feels so blessed to be able to be involved in the arts community of mid-Missouri and is thrilled to be a co-director and founder of Merry Ol' Missouri.

    Shelby Ringdahl Cox was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri. Her voice has been heard coast to coast leading national tours and performing in some of the country's biggest theaters and arenas. Some of her favorite theatrical credits include Les Misérables, Jesus Christ Superstar and Chess (The Muny), Million Dollar Quartet (Dyanne), Disenchanted (Snow White), The West End's ABBA Mania (Agnetha), Seussical (Mayzie), and Heathers (Ensemble/ Heather Chandler US). As a concert vocalist, she has been seen on stage alongside some of the biggest names and symphonies in the country, as well as with the USO Show Troupe. Shelby is a former Miss Missouri, Top 12 Finalist at Miss America, and was named Best Personality by Entertainment Weekly. She was an overall State Talent Winner, Rookie Talent Winner, and made over 300 appearances during her year of service speaking to over 17,000 of Missouri’s children. Shelby holds her Masters of Arts in Teaching from Columbia College and has served as a guest instructor, lecturer, director, and choreographer for high school and youth theater opportunities. As a soloist and recording artist, Shelby has performed her solo concert across the state, as well as released an EP and a Christmas Album on all streaming platforms. Her passion has always been to bring incredible live theater to mid-Missouri whether it be with TRYPS Children's Theater, The Missouri symphony or in her own solo concert. Shelby is thrilled to bring to life the vision and mission of Merry Ol' Missouri as a co-director and founder.
